Xbox Allows You to Pin Your Three Favorite Games to the Home Screen

You’ll soon be able to access your favorite games even quicker with the updated Xbox home screen. According to
Microsoft, Xbox Insiders are set to receive three new customization options later this week, making their dashboard feel a bit more personal. As outlined in
Xbox Wire, certain Xbox players will gain options to declutter and bring their favorite games to the forefront of their lists.

The first significant change allows you to pin up to three of your favorite games or apps to the recently-played list. Pinning them ensures they remain at the top of your list, even when launching other apps intermittently. Additionally, your Xbox will provide the “Hide System Apps” option, which should help reduce clutter by hiding less critical shortcuts. To further refine your home screen, Xbox will introduce a “Reduce Tile Count” feature that enables you to manage how many visible tiles appear in the recently opened games and apps list. With these new features granting you more control, Xbox players can enjoy a cleaner homepage that allows their dynamic backgrounds to stand out more.

“We’ve heard from many of you that Home should feel more like your space,” Eden Marie, principal software engineering lead of Xbox Experiences, stated on Xbox’s blog. “Whether it’s showcasing your favorite games, hiding what you don’t use, or simply making Home feel less crowded, this update is a direct response to that feedback.”

According to Microsoft, these features will initially roll out to Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha users’ consoles. However, the company is still refining the Reduce Tile Count feature, noting that it “will be coming soon.” Now, if only there were a way to hide those ads on the home screen.
