The deployment was further complemented by two C-2 transport aircraft, along with advanced refueling models, the KC-46A and KC-767, designed for long-range operations. Joint training exercises took place not just in the UK but also across Germany’s Laage Air Base, CFB Goose Bay in Canada, and Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska, showcasing the breadth of cooperation among the allied nations.
Founded as a distinct entity in 1954, the JASDF took a notable step forward with this mission, being its inaugural deployment to European nations and Canada.
