AMD Launches Radeon RX 9060 XT at Computex 2025

AMD has introduced its 9060 XT GPU at Computex 2025. This midrange GPU is designed to compete head-to-head with Nvidia’s 5060 Ti and matches it closely across nearly all specifications. Built on AMD’s 4-nanometer RDNA 4 silicon, the 9060 XT features 32 compute units, paired with 64 dedicated AI accelerators and 32 ray-tracing cores.

Importantly, the RX 9060 XT will be available in 8GB and 16GB GDDR6 versions, while Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti employs faster 28 Gb/s GDDR7, offering about 40% more bandwidth (448 GB/s versus approximately 322 GB/s) on the same 128-bit bus. We’ll need to see side-by-side performance tests to draw any definitive conclusions regarding these specifications.

AMD has listed the 9060 XT’s boost clock speeds as high as 3.13 GHz. The GPU boasts 821 TOPS for AI workloads and will consume a moderate 150 to 182 watts from the board. It will connect via PCIe 5.0 x16 and supports the now-standard DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b. Based on these preliminary specs, the 9060 XT is expected to perform well in games at 1080p and serve as a decent option for 1440p gaming. For those aiming to play at 4K, it would be wise to consider the Radeon RX 9070 or 9070 XT.

The pricing and specific release dates have yet to be confirmed.
