Alarmo, which stands as the most significant hardware announcement from Nintendo in the past year, is on the verge of becoming accessible to a much broader audience. Nintendo says the motion-sensing alarm clock will be available “in stores at participating retailers” starting in March, bypassing the necessity for a Nintendo Switch Online membership or a visit to one of their physical stores.
Nintendo’s alarm clock originally made its debut in October 2024. It cleverly combines iconic sound effects from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Pikmin 4 with motion sensors capable of monitoring your tossing and turning. This grants the Alarmo some basic sleep tracking capabilities, with morning alarms intensifying the more you move around, ceasing only when you sit up.

According to Engadget’s review, while Alarmo is on the expensive side at $100, it doesn’t excel as a sleep tracker. The alarm clock can track only one individual at a time, which means its most charming feature is inaccessible to anyone sharing a bed. However, if you’re susceptible to Nintendo nostalgia or you have a child who is already a fan, this clock can be a delightful addition to your morning routine.
In March, Alarmo will be available “while supplies last,” but by then, dedicated Nintendo enthusiasts might already be setting aside funds for their next big purchase.
